England Athletics & Cross Country

We’re pleased to announce that OxfordTri has renewed its England Athletics membership ready for the Cross Country Season.

What is an England Athletics Membership?

England Athletics are the governing body for all thing athletics. From track and field, road racing to marathons. Treat EA a bit like BTF membership but for running.

Why do I need it?

Technically you don’t. However if you’d like to run the Oxford Cross Country league this winter you’re required to be a member. It also provides you discount in future running races.

What’s the Cross Country League?

The Oxford XC league is a local league consisting of 5 races around the county. For each race you earn points for yourself and the team! It’s also a fantastic social!

7th November 2021 – Bicester Heritage

5th December 2021 – Cirencester Park, Cirencester

9th January 2022 – Horspath Stadium, Oxford

6th February 2022 – Bo Peep Farm, Adderbury

6th March 2022 – Henley Showground

Sounds great, how do I join?

Simply sign up here and Dan will register you with England Athletics. Once signed up England Athletics will confirm your membership and they will email details including your unique membership number. Once you’ve got this, you’re all ready for the mud! Nearer the time we will email out more details about the Cross Country.

N.B. To ensure you can run the first cross country race in November you must be signed up with England Athletics by the 18th of October. After this time, sign up will still be open however your membership will be active for the following month.
