This will be an indoor turbo trainer session, streamed on Zoom. You can run on Power, Heart Rate or Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE). As a basic setup you will need your bike and a turbo trainer or a gym bike. Also a towel to wipe your sweat and a full bottle to keep hydrated.
If you use RPE to measure your effort during the session, look at this informative table to understand the different zones.
If you use Zwift, Trainer Road or other means to run workouts and control a smart trainer, you can download the power profile before the session and add it to your profile/platform. See links below (allow time to set this up)
The stream will start at 18:30 for some socializing whilst we set up the bike on the trainer. Coordinated start is at 19:00. This will follow a countdown by the coach.
If you want to join me on Zwift too, you will need to follow me on Zwift (look for Nathan Blake OxfordTri) and let me know that you intend to join me in advance by leaving a comment on the Facebook group, so that I can invite you to the “Meet Up”.
– Please dont participate if you have, or suspect you have any current health concerns, injuries, aches and pains.
– Note sessions are streamed using Zoom and we dont control the security of either Zoom or the other participant. Consider the view of your house could be made public, if appropriate dont join the video stream and use a nick name.
