Poor weather conditions such as extreme cold, wind, ice and snow can affect training sessions and/ or members’ ability to get to training sessions offered by the club.

The club’s top priority is that members enjoy competing and training safely. Oxford Tri’s policy for poor conditions is as follows

For coached sessions, such as open water swimming, appropriately trained volunteer coaches and safety officers running that session are responsible for assessing the conditions and have the discretion to cancel a session or shorten courses as appropriate. Oxford Tri’s members are required to follow the instructions of those running coached sessions.
