Weekly Update 12 February 2021

Hi Everyone

Another floody frosty week so ideal conditions for indoor training – well done to the Club Zwifters for scoring another great win against Swindon and Leighton Buzzard Tri Clubs on Wednesday. Especial Kudos to Rebecca Duxbury for the overall win!

Congratulations also to Chris Hemingway for being the ‘winner’ of last week’s quiz, despite being sick with Covid. We look forward to him being quiz master for next month’s round.

Plenty more zoom bike sessions coming up next week with our virtual Sunday rides, static bike on Monday and turbo from home on Friday – try them out if you’ve never done them before. Nothing like a bit of company and banter to make the sessions fly by.

Next week we also welcome back James Potts, Sport and Exercise Nutritionist at Loughborough University for a Tuesday evening talk. And more competition with the next run of our winter virtual bike and run time trials next Saturday.

The quick survey (30 seconds, I promise!) is running to the end of the weekend so last chance to record your preferences. I’ve also added HIIT sessions to the survery. The committee are all keen to provide sessions which meet demand but the coaching team need you the members to indicate where we should best focus our resources.

Finally welcome to our several new (and renewing) members this week!

Any questions, as ever just ping me.
